Goodnight Calvin and Hobbes.
With this week’s sketchbook additions comes the end of my Watterson studies, at least for now. It has been a wonderful experience, and I’ve come to appreciate its daily presence. I forgot how much I missed seeing Watterson’s work every morning – just like I did after he originally ended the strip.
Hopefully the next artist whose comics I work from can fill the void. As sad as it is to put away Calvin & Hobbes, I’m excited to explore new work!
